The essentials in one minute
- After Vodundays is the hosting programme of ONG Wa Afriki, in Ouidah, around the official Vodun Days of January 2 to 9, 2027.
- The Vodun Days are organised by the State of Benin. After Vodundays is an unofficial programme, in collaboration with the Grand Conseil Vodun Hwendo.
- You travel in a team of 10 in Standard, 5 in VIP, never more. Groups are never mixed.
- Three people are assigned to your team from the first day to the last: a licensed guide, a hostess, and a guide specialised in Vodun and Fâ.
- You stay at the Palais d'Agondji. The price is per person, all inclusive, nights included.
- Confirmation is due before Tuesday, December 15, 2026.
What you receive
Included in the price, in Standard and in VIP:
- The circuits: memorial, Vodun, heritage, and the Gléxwé day on January 10 for The Programme.
- Daytime and evening assistance on the official Vodun Days sites.
- The evening events at the Palais d'Agondji.
- Meals.
- Local transport; a 4x4 vehicle with driver in VIP.
- Nights at the Palais d'Agondji: individual tent in Standard, large tent in VIP.
- The night on the lake at Ganvié and the private boat, in The Programme and Vodun Days Week.
- The community contribution of €50.
- In VIP: private meetings with crowned heads and sworn guardians, and a private Fâ consultation.
What is not included
- International flights.
- Visas.
- The yellow fever vaccine.
- Insurance.
- Concerts and official passes. The price of the official 2027 VIP Pass has not yet been published by the State.
- For the Togo and Ghana option: hotels in Lomé and Accra, meals on site and the Lomé-Accra flight.

Per person, all inclusive at the Palais d'Agondji, nights included. The euro is the billing currency; the FCFA and the dollar are given as a guide.

The FCFA is pegged to the euro (€1 = 655.957 FCFA). The dollar is converted at the reference rate of October 9, 2026, rounded to the nearest ten, and revised if the gap exceeds 5%.
The programme, day by day
From Monday January 4 to Thursday January 14, 2027, 11 days and 10 nights, with the optional year-end stay at the Palais d'Agondji. No official ceremony time is announced until the State publishes its programme.

The contract, in brief
This summary does not replace the service contract you receive before any payment. It tells you what it contains.
- Nothing is paid before it is written: you first receive a detailed proposal and the service contract of ONG Wa Afriki.
- The deposit confirms your place: 30% in Standard, 50% in VIP.
- It is fully refundable for 30 days after payment, for any booking made more than 60 days before departure.
- After those 30 days: more than 90 days before departure, the balance paid is refunded; between 90 and 60 days, 50% of the price is retained; between 60 and 30 days, 75%; less than 30 days, 100%.
- Payments are traceable: international bank transfer (UBA Benin, account in the name of WA AFRIKI) or Mobile Money. An official receipt is issued for every payment. No cash payment is ever required.
- No request for money outside the contract. Tradition-guardians and families are paid by us, not by you.
- One contact, in Ouidah, from your request to your return.
The five steps
- You write to us, by form or by WhatsApp. No commitment, no payment. An answer within 24 hours.
- We talk to understand what you are coming for.
- You receive the written proposal and the contract.
- You confirm with the deposit. Official receipt at once.
- Your place is sealed: invitation letter for your e-visa, preparation, your team group.
What to know before you leave
- Passport valid for at least 6 months after your return date.
- Electronic visa to request before departure, on evisa.bj.
- Yellow fever vaccine mandatory. Antimalarial treatment recommended.
- Currency: the CFA franc (FCFA). €1 = 655.957 FCFA, fixed rate.
- Electricity: 220 V, European sockets. Bring a universal adapter.
- No belief and no prior practice are required. No ritual participation is imposed: you observe what you choose to observe.
- Initiations are not for sale. If the Fâ and the guardians open the way, they prepare the traveller.
