The promise
This is the journey home. Not a stay, a reconnection. From Cotonou, the country's vibrant gateway, to Ouidah where the Slave Route leads to the Door of No Return facing the Atlantic, on to the palaces of Abomey where kings and Amazons live again, and Porto-Novo where the memory of those who returned from Brazil reads on the facades.
Each stop answers a question you carry, often without having named it: where do I come from, who were mine, what did they build before the tearing away. This is not a tourist circuit. It is a journey of meaning, held by hosts who know the diaspora's memory and carry it with you.
